Social events may be postponed for the time being, but there’s still so much to enjoy in Oxnard. Not all good times take place indoors. In fact, there are so many amazing things to be seen when you’re out and about on your own. The Oxnard area is filled with stunning scenery that’s just waiting to be explored. While there are tons of spectacular spots, Oxnard Beach Park definitely ranks near the top.

Located along the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route, Oxnard Beach park boasts dazzling views. Get out and walk or bike the immaculately kept pathways and check out the breathtaking beach backdrop along the way. The beaches here are all white sand and immaculate. Also visible from the bike paths are Channel Island National Park and Marine Sanctuary.

The park is also the perfect spot for kayaking, fishing or just flying a kite. Even better, with the spring temperatures rolling in, the park is an even more pleasant spot to visit. Those in a wheelchair will be happy to note that the beach is wheelchair accessible. Entering through the dunes at Rehab Point is the way to go if you require wheelchair beach access.

Park-goers can even bring their 4 legged friends along. The park is dog friendly, but pets must be on a leash and need to be picked up after. Parking fees for the park are cash only and are $1 per hour or $5 for the entire day.

If you’re heading to the area and are looking for accommodation in Oxnard, the Best Western Oxnard Inn is a wonderful option. Located along the magnificent California coast between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, the hotel gives visitors easy access to a number of prime spots. Our rooms have been recently upgraded and offer guests everything they need for a relaxing stay.
